My Family- My Canada

Canada is my home- it is where I was born, it is where I grew up, and now it is where I have decided to grow my family. I have two children- Blakely and Smith, and with my  husband, I have decided that Canada is the best place to raise my children. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying other Countries wouldn't be just as good- I haven't travelled enough to make that assumption; that being said, Canada has so many attributes that I value when considering it home to my children.

First of all, I love how Canada is a country that accepts everyone. For instance, when trying to decide what Canadian culture looks like- it is too hard for me to define, simply because we are a combination of multiple cultures. Canadians as a collective group tend to accept people for who they are- and this, is something that is very important to me, especially when considering my childrens' future, as I want them to be, act and live however they want.

Moreover, I appreciate the Canadian government and health care system. I find happiness knowing that if my children are sick or in need of medical care, they are able to call an ambulance, or head to their local hospital for immediate assistance.

As a school teacher, and mother, I love how the Canadian education system is engaged in making strong leaders for our Country. I believe that our education system is aiding students to be social and knowledgable. This is very important to me as I not only want my children to have the skills to succeed in school, but to succeed in the "real world".

Therefore, although I haven't travelled to every country, and I don't have all of the facts to back up my reasoning for "why Canada is the best place to raise my children", I do know, that the above reasons make it hard to leave. Canada has been a great home to me, and Im sure it will continue to be a wonderful place for my children to live.
